When Holy Family Church no longer remains a parish church, it is our hope to preserve it as a Catholic sacred space. By maintaining it as a Catholic sacred space, we intend for it to remain a site of Catholic religious activity.
Examples of Catholic sacred spaces include oratories, chapels and shrines.
Holy Family Church is important for Auburn Catholics.
It was the first Catholic Church in the City of Auburn. Generations of families have learned the faith in this church. Future generations deserve the same opportunity to enrich their faith in the Mother Church of Auburn.
Centrally located on North Street, many pass its walls daily and are reminded of God's presence in the heart of our community.
The beautiful sacred art and architecture draw one's attention toward God and the teachings of Jesus and the saints.
We would like for Holy Family to remain a sacred space for the following purposes:
Recitation of the Rosary and private prayer
Occasional worship
Other sacramental activities
Sacred music concerts
Tours highlighting the sacred art and architecture
Lectures on Catholic topics
Our goal is that as many Catholics as possible may visit the church and be renewed in their faith, drawn back to the faith if they have fallen away, or come to the faith if they are not Catholic, from their exposure to the church.
